The Medis packaging plant in Bolatice, (near Opava in the Czech Republic) includes automated packaging lines, and laboratory facilities. The plant meets the latest requirements for the manufacture of medicines for human use, and complies with the highest standards of the pharmaceutical industry.

Production facilities at Medis are designed to ensure maximum safety for employees, products and the environment, and full compliance with regulations and the demands of the highest standards of the production of medicines.

Clean rooms for packaging into primary packaging materials ensure full air change using HEPA H13 air filters. Air flow in other rooms complies with ISO 8 standards. The production warehouse is fully climate-controlled and has an automated tracking system.

Medis uses fully automatic packaging lines from German manafucturer Uhlmann A.G. to package tablets and capsules in all types of foils and films, including PVC, PP, PVC/PVDC, PVC/PE/PVDC, PVC/Aclar and Alu/Alu blister packs.
